Yesterday was Day 2 of the 88th Bacardi Cup and all the forecasts were predicting a big breeze exceeding 20 kn, but it did not materialize. After just one general recall, race 2 got underway in 16 knots from the East and choppy seas. According to the Bacardi rules, the legs of the course usually exceed 2 miles and a race lasts about 3 hours.
Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA won the race, but Robert Stanjek/Frithjof Kleen GER extended their overall lead finishing 2nd. New on rank 3 are Augie Diaz USA/Bruno Prada BRA on their brand-new Folli Star.
The results and the Paul Cayard USA report.
