 Optimist  World Championship 2018  Limassol CYP  Day 3, Baker USA 3rd and Sitzmann USA 5th in the top10
The Qualification Series at the Optimist World Championship in Limassol/Cyprus were concluded yesterday with the races nbr 5 and 6 to split the fleet in Gold-, Silver-, Bronze- and Emerald-Groups.
Finishing the 6 races with 6 wins in his Group, the defending champion Marco Gradoni ITA demonstrated an impressive performance up-to-now. On the ranks 2 and 3 five points behind follow Panwa Boonnak THA and Stephen Baker USA. Yanne Broers NED new on rank 8 advanced yesterday on the first girl's place. Qualified for the Goldfleet are also Tommy Sitzmann USA on 5th and Peter Foley USA on 19th. Mateo Cortez Suarez MEX on 94h, Jean-Rene Kiekens-Arana CAN on 95th and Noah Adler CAN on 101st will continue the Championship in the Silverfleet. All other USA, MEX, CAN and ISV team members (teams of five) will be in the Bronze- or Emerald-Fleets among the 258 participants.

Today and tomorrow, the Team-Race Worlds will be held. On Monday, the individual World Championship races will resume.
