18 Footer - JJ Giltinan Trophy - Sydney AUS - Invitational Race

This morning UTC, the JJ Giltinan Trophy, the World Championship of the 18-Footers, began on Sydney Harbour (see the live-stream on top this website). Sun and a 12-14kn are prevailing, with 'Honda Marine' from New Zealand initially in the lead, taken over by 'Finport' when the Kiwis left the race. So did the new leader, who did not cross the finish line, leaving the tune-up race victory to 'Winning Group' of John Winning AUS with the 6-times Giltinan Champion Seve Jarvin AUS as crew. Among the participants is the German 'Marinepool'.
