As expected, the favorites ruled the show in the first three races yesterday with the two SailGP Team Australia members Tom Slingsby AUS (1/1/2) and Kyle Langford AUS (2/1/1) dominating their groups. The Laser Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS follows on rank 3, the best non-Australians are Francesco Bruni ITA as 4th and Brad Funk USA as 5th. Rome Kirby USA occupies the 14th place among the 122 participants. ----- Hot temperatures exceeding 40°C (over 100°F) prevailed on the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia. Ashore, the delicate ultra-light carbon boats even had to be cooled with water to avoid heat damage. ----- The ranking list, the daily news and the event facebook page with photos and videos. ----- Racing is already is underway this Saturday morning UTC with another three heats to conclude the qualifications for the Gold- and Silverfleets.
