49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - Winter Series - Lanzarote ESP - Day 1

The Lanzarote International Winterseries, at the same time the last European and African Tokyo Olympic berth qualification event for the 49ers, 49ersFX and Nacra 17, began yesterday with three races sailed in an around 15kn breeze. ----- Four US and a Canadian team are participating in the 49ers. In the 49ersFX, two Canadian and a US team are on the entry lists. The best-ranked North Americans after the first race day are Ian Barrows/Hans Henken (EYC/SFYC), 6th in the 49ers, and Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea (KR/LBYC/CYC), 12th in the 49ersFX.
