After the RS:X male and female windsurfers yesterday, the ILCA 6 & 7 (Lasers Standard and Radial) male and female one-person dinghies finished their Olympic Games this morning with the Medal Races. ----- Matthew Wearn AUS was the superior premature winner in the ILCA 7. As in Rio 2016, Tonci Stipanovic CRO earned the Silver medal. Herrmann Tomasgaard NOR followed in 3rd place. ----- In the ILCA 6, the dominator of the past months, Anne-Marie Rindom DEN, defended her top position in a varied race to the end. Josefin Olsson SWE won the Medal Race, relegating Marit Bouwmeester NED from the 2nd place. ----- The 470s sailed two more qualification races: Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS dominated the 470 men with 2nd and 1st places and are now already 19 points ahead. Xammar/Rodriguez ESP follow in 2nd, with Dahlberg/Bergström SWE and Patience/Grube GBR tied on points for 3rd. ----- As best of the day (1/3), Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR took the lead in the 470 women, one point ahead of Agnieszka Skrzypulec/Jolanta Ogar POL. Already 10 points is the gap of Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA. ----- The Finns finished their qualifications with another 2 races. Giles Scott GBR goes into the Medal Race with an 8 point lead. Zsombor Beresz HUN has now replaced Joan Cardona ESP on the 2nd place. ----- The Nacras 17 have also completed their qualifications. Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA go into the Medal Race with a 12-point lead over John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR. Another 12 points behind are Paul Kohlhoff/Alica Stuhlemmer GER in 3rd. ----- All Rankings and the Evening-Report.
