Cool temperatures and offshore winds around 25kn made for a rough start to the new World Cup season yesterday on Palma Bay. First up were the ILCA's, the iQ-Foil windsurfers, and the Mixed 470. -----After two heats, Jordi Xammar/Nicole Brugman ESP and Giacomo Ferrari/Berta Caruso ITA lead the 470 classification. Nia Jerwood/Conor Nicholas AUS are 3rd. ----- The ILCA 6, divided into two groups, had one race each. Maria Erdi HUN and Maxime Jonker NED took the heat wins. Sarah Douglas CAN and Pernelle Michon FRA follow in second place. ----- The ILCA 7 could finish two heats. Pavlos Kontides CYP won twice. Michael Beckett GR and Philipp Buhl GER follow one point behind on rank 2. ----- The iQ-Foil windsurfers completed 4 races. With 3 wins in his group, Samuel Sills GBR leads ahead of Finn Hawkins GBR and Andrew Brown GBR. ----- Hélène Noesmoen FRA leads the women's race ahead of Pilar Lamadrid ESP. ----- All rankings and the daily report.
