18-Footer - Spring Championship - Sydney AUS - Final results

Stormy winds over 30kn prevented the 7th and last race of the spring championship of the 18-footers on Sunday. We broadcast the series every Sunday morning, a fixed part of our pages until March. Numerous newcomers or newly formed teams used the series as a tune-up. 7 brand new skiffs were used for the first time. So did 'Yandoo' with the 18-footer legend John Winning AUS (70-year-old !) at the helm, who secured the win together with Wang Farron AUS and Josh Porebski AUS. The report. ----- The first of five races in the New South Wales Championship starts next Sunday. As always, the JJ Giltinan Trophy, the 18-footer world championship, follows at the beginning of March. After a two-year break for Corona reasons, the New Zealanders will be back for the first time.
