420, 470 - Youth European Championship 2023 - Gdynia POL - Day 1

In moderate winds, the Junior European Championships in the 420s and 470s began yesterday in Poland. With two race wins in the 470, defending champions Matisse Pacaud/Lucie De Gennes FRA lived up to their role as favourites. Ariadne and Odysseas Spanaki GRE followed in second place. 35 teams from 16 nations are at the start.
